初のチームミーティング

今日は6年生中心のチームと試合。相手のパワーとスピードに圧倒された序盤。さらに選手の半分はインターナショナル。チーム内でも言葉の壁が存在し、なかなかコミュニケーションが取れない。

だから今日はポジションやサブ、GKのチョイスも全て選手に任せた。コミュニケーションを取らないといけない状況を作りたかった。

試合前のミーティングでそれを伝え、戦術ボードを使いながら話し合っている姿はチームとして少しずつ歩み出す一歩にしたい。

闘い方もコミュニケーションもきっかけを与えるだけ。口出しはするけどコントロールはしない。自分で考え出した答えを試し続けてほしい。

今日も子ども達の成長に感動させてもらいました。

I'm a great believer in team talks because they are a fast and effective way of shaping team mindset - and mindset is vital to performance. Preparing and giving team talks is an essential skill of the modern coach.

- Stand where everybody can see you

- Make eye contack with every player

- Speak to the back of the room

- Be animated, give energy

- Add some humour to relieve tension

- Ask players to engage players

- Don't speak for more than 15mins

- Keep an upbeat tempo

- Use visual aides where necessary(whiteboard, flipchart, powerpoint)
